The challenge: streamlining the complexity of a telecoms giant
Entegro supported a world leader in telecommunications, present on 5 continents with 800,000 km of fiber and nearly 200,000 connected buildings. This fast-growing company was faced with a major challenge: rationalizing a heterogeneous technological heritage., resulting from successive company integrations and multiple generations of equipment (SDH/SONET, Ethernet L2, L3 services, FTTH).
The customer's objective was threefold: to reduce total cost of ownership, improve overall network performance and optimize operational efficiency.
The challenge: consolidate 17 data centers in a short space of time
Within this complex framework, Entegro was selected to orchestrate the consolidation of 17 data centers spread across North America., Europe and the Middle East, including the critical migration of a European transit IP gateway in a limited timeframe. An operation made even more difficult by the multiplicity of local processes, disparate documentation and the risk of service interruption for over 40,000 IP/MPLS circuits.
Entegro's expertise: a global turnkey approach
Entegro has implemented a global approach, based on a physical and organizational audit and on l'automation - including risk management.
The company was able to rapidly mobilize the necessary field resources on both sides of the Atlantic, for continuous intervention without putting pressure on teams. Standardization of processes, systems and technological platforms enabled a significant reduction in costs, while optimizing capacity utilization.
Customer impact: €6m savings and enhanced efficiency
The results exceed initial targets: €6 million in annualized savings, the migration of 40,000 IP/MPLS services, a significant improvement in capacity utilization and a substantial reduction in energy consumption. The operator now benefits from a network with optimized, sustainable performance.
Success opens up new markets
This success has fueled Entegro's expansion, leading to new contracts with a global telecom equipment manufacturer and two national operators. Now present on 3 continents, Kyntus confirms its position as an expert in the consolidation of complex networks.
