KYNTUS Group enters the Irish and UK fibre deployment market through the acquisition of a majority stake in Entegro
29 August 2024 – The KYNTUS Group, one of the French leaders in B2B services to digital network infrastructure, today announces the acquisition of a 63.26% stake in Entegro Holdings Groups Limited (« Entegro »), a company headquartered in Kilkenny, Ireland that operates in the network design and deployment of optical fibre networks.
With this acquisition, the KYNTUS Group achieves a new milestone in its international development strategy focused on sizable, early-stage fibre deployment markets. The Group’s international expansion strategy was initiated in 2021 by launching fibre deployment then end-customer connections activities in Germany, achieving revenues in excess of €30 million in 2023. Whilst bringing a meaningful presence in Ireland and the United Kingdom, Entegro also adds a high growth asset with a turnover in excess of €40 million for the year ending December 2024. Entegro employs over 300 people in its operational subsidiaries. Through these initiatives, KYNTUS group secures new sources of growth in European markets in which fibre coverage remains largely below that of the more mature French market and in which the potential in end-customer connections is considerable and largely untapped.
This transaction, which closed on 9 August 2024, brings increased scale and diversification of its revenue base for the KYNTUS Group as well as an acceleration of its top line growth.
KYNTUS Group, head-quartered in Vélizy-Villacoublay, France was set up in 2018 through the combination of four medium-sized players intervening in the segments of services to telecommunication operators and to digital infrastructure operators. The Group managed to establish itself in the course of a few years as one of the market leaders in France, achieving very high essentially organic top line growth. The Group operates primarily in the French market, in the segments of very high speed network deployment and connections and after-sale services to end-customers of fixed telecommunications operators. The Group also develops services to mobile telecommunications infrastructure and to electricity network infrastructure. The Group entered the German market by setting up its own subsidiary in 2021.
