JOB PURPOSE
The Design Office Manager is responsible for managing, designing and implementing technical projects for the integration of High Voltage (HV), Low Voltage (LV) and HVAC equipment. He/she ensures that installations comply with current standards. He/she ensures that studies are carried out on time and within budget, with rigorous management of contractual relations and deliverables. Supervises and coordinates the company's technical team and service providers. He/she ensures that the team's skills are maintained and enhanced.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages and coordinates a team:
- Supervise and support the team of specialized technicians.
- Ensure quality deliverables and deadlines are met for each project.
- Identify, prioritize and manage emergencies to ensure efficient and optimal management of ongoing projects.
- Provide ongoing training for the team and promote the improvement of technical skills.
- Design and technical studies :
- Analyze specifications and customer requirements for the CAD/CAM parts of projects.
- Carry out technical studies for CFO and CFA systems: electricity distribution, lighting, computer wiring, security systems (video surveillance, access control), fire alarms, etc.
- Dimension high-voltage installations (electrical panels, distribution boards, generators, etc.) and low-voltage installations (communication networks, fire detection, etc.).
- Draw up electrical diagrams, mechanical diagrams, layout plans, wiring diagrams, calculation notes, supply lists.
- Select the equipment and materials required for each project (electrical components, wiring, electrical cabinets, etc.).
- Project implementation and follow-up :
- Write the technical documents required by the customer to complete projects (specifications, feasibility studies, technical notes, manuals, test procedures and sheets, commissioning reports, etc.).
- Carry out and monitor the implementation and integration of projects from the installation phase through to commissioning, ensuring that deadlines and quality are met.
- Commission installations and carry out verification and validation tests.
- On-site intervention and commissioning possible nationwide.
- Supplier coordination and management :
- Work closely with the various internal departments (sales, purchasing, production, site, etc.) to ensure the correct integration of CAD/CAM systems into projects.
- May coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors and service providers for equipment supply and work execution.
- Regulatory and safety watch :
- Update your knowledge of the latest standards and technologies in the field of CFO (High Voltage) and CFA (Low Voltage).
- Apply and enforce current safety standards when installing and commissioning electrical and low-voltage systems.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and safety on construction sites and in facilities.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Technical skills :
- Mastery of CFO (energy distribution, lighting, power, etc.) and CFA (communication networks, alarms, video surveillance, access control, etc.) systems.
- In-depth knowledge of wiring and marking techniques (low and high voltage wiring, power components, signals, etc.).
- Advanced skills in electrical installation design, dimensioning and wiring.
- Knowledge of design software (AutoCAD, Eplan, etc.) and calculation tools (Caneco, etc.).
- Knowledge of electrical and safety standards (NFC 15-100, NFC 15-500, etc.).
- Interpersonal skills :
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team with a wide range of contacts (employees, customers, suppliers, subcontractors).
- Autonomy, rigor and organizational skills.
- Project management skills :
- Follow-up and coordination of the various aspects of an electrical installation project and low-voltage systems.
- Ability to meet deadlines, budgets and manage priorities.
INITIAL TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bac +2 to Bac +3 in electrical engineering or similar (DUT GEII, BTS Électrotechnique, Licence Pro, etc.).
- Electrical clearance.
- 2 to 5 years' experience in a similar position, particularly on CFO/CFA projects.
